Brendan Rodgers is the current manager of Liverpool but the coach hailing from Northern Ireland is one who still has not managed to lift any big trophies with the Premier League since he took charge of the club in June of 2012.

Allowing Luis Suarez to leave and join Barcelona was a decision that Brendan Rodgers agreed on doing but not many fans of the English club were happy in seeing Suarez leaving Anfield and being replaced with players who just couldn’t fill in the boots of the Uruguayan attacker.

Mario Balotelli was one of those players who was signed to replace Suarez but he failed on accomplishing that mission.

Liverpool had a very underwhelming season as they finished at the 6th spot and rumors started to emerge which were linking Brendan Rodgers with a move away from the Premier League club and it was even confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti received a managerial offer from Liverpool as the English side wanted to appoint the Italian coach as their manager and replace Brendan Rodgers who hasn’t truly managed to make an impact.

Even though Brendan Rodgers isn’t considered to be one of the best managers in the world such as: Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti or Pep Guardiola, Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has given his thanks to Brendan Rodgers as it was because of the Irish coach that Suarez has managed to become a world class player.

“When Brendan was appointed, I was excited: “I’d actually spoken to him when he was at Swansea in Spanish, which I thought was a good touch. He was familiar with the Spanish way of playing, as he’d studied there. He was very clever and told me that Liverpool would play possession football, as it would suit me. He knows all about English football and he educated me to become successful.”

Carlo Ancelotti rejected the managerial role that was offered to him by Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers will continue being in charge of the Premier League at least for the next season.
