Marcelo Moreno of Bolivia has led the quest to win the Golden Boot award in the South American section of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament for the majority of the matchdays. Moreno has ten goals to his name and he’s leading the assault for Bolivia who can still qualify for the inter-confederation playoff spot. The Bolivians are no longer in the position to qualify automatically for Qatar 2022 with six points left to fight for between now and the rest of the qualifiers.

Ahead of the final two qualifiers, Bolivia are six points off Peru in fifth and the inter-confederation playoff spot. Moreno has ten goals in the qualifiers and three more than any other player in the South American region. He would be hoping to add to his tally when Bolivia are guests of Colombia in their penultimate qualifier in the South American qualifying section ahead of Qatar 2022. In their last qualifier, Bolivia will play hosts to leaders Brazil.

Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez is one of three attackers on seven goals in the South American qualifiers for this year’s World Cup tournament on Qatari soil. Apart from Luis Suarez, Brazilian star Neymar and Argentine player Lautaro Martinez are also on seven goals.

Luis Suarez could add to his tally when Uruguay take on Peru at home in their penultimate qualifier later this week. The Uruguayans can seal a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup tournament with a win over Peru and if Chile fail to beat Brazil at home. Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Neymar is expected to be part of the Brazil team for the Chile game as he bids to add to his tally of seven goals. Luis Suarez and Uruguay would be guests of Chile in their last qualifier, while Neymar and Brazil are guests of Bolivia. For Lautaro Martinez and Argentina, they take on Venezuela at home before facing hosts Ecuador.
